Grade 7FLA Free Write Assignment due on Thursday! Please use the "Three Before Me" strategy to ensure that you have paid attention to our Writing Traits.  7ELA you work is not due until Monday, as you have not had as much class time to complete this assignment.
Grade 7B and 7G Health: Your Design a Healthy Environment Project is due on Thursday. I look forward to your presentation, justification of your plans and the visuals too.  See me regarding the rubric if you want to double check to see if you are meeting all of the outcomes.
Grade 8Health: Stress Resort Project due Friday! Looking forward to seeing what you have created.. Who will win the honour of most impressive project as voted by your peers?

Grade 7 Health projects due on Thursday, May 31st! I cannot wait to see your presentations.
Please be sure you have:
All graphics
Clear message as to why your project is healthy and would actually benefit society. ( examples: physical health, nutrition, emotional etc.)
Presentation volume should be loud enough for all to hear, good pacing, tone and eye contact too.
Time on task is also important.
Please let me know if you need supplies.

7ELA and 7FLA: Congratulations on your best work this year! I was completely and utterly in awe of your progress on your Persuasive Essay Assignment. Your attention to the rubric was evident and the quality of your ideas, organization and conventions truly impressed me.
Keep reading 20 minutes minimum each day to improve your fluency and grow dendrites too. :)
Grade 8 Health: Continue working on your " Stress Free Resort" project. ;) Bring your supplies to class please so I know what I need to pick up to support you.
Grade 7B Health: Bullying and Harassment projects were amazing. If you were ill and have not yet completed this project, I am happy to help you get caught up.

Grade 7 Health presentations begin Wednesday for our Bullying/Harassment unit. Great efforts in class thus far!
Grade 7LA Persuasive Essays for 7F LA due Wednesday. 7E LA due Thursday. Computer lab time being given to type all essays. :) Don't forget to double check your rubric to ensure you are meeting all criteria. "Three before me" before passing in your good copies please.
Grade 8: Journal entries due on Wednesday based on our Eating Disorders lessons. * Handout provided.

Grade 7E LA: We read "Blogger From Iraq" today and made connections, reviewed inferencing and worked on "synthesizing" information.  Assignment: Students are to complete a brief summary of what this article was about.  We reviewed the author's purpose and students need to explain in main points only.

7G and 7B Health:  Completed presentations last week, moving on today to the various forms of "Harassment".  Pages 80 to 84 in our student books.  Questions to follow.
7FLA: Writing rubric handed out.  Students must complete a persuasive piece based on the topic that I gave them. However, students were also given the freedom to choose their own topic if they see me first for approval. I just want to ensure that they are chosing a topic that will make for a strong, persuasive piece.
