Friday, December 21st Grade 8 French students will finish their presentations for "Entrepreneur en Herbe". A special thank you to everyone that brought food samples from your restaurants. What a fun and delicious way to wrap up 2012.  Merci beaucoup tout le monde! :)

Grade 7 French Tests were completed today, you have until 2013 to learn your next 10 verbs! ;)  Great effort this week, I know how excited everyone is for the holidays!

Grade 7 Language Arts: Wrapping up our Tech Effects outcomes and making the transition to the Mysteries theme.  Please remember to read every day for a minimum of 20 minutes to build fluency and grow dendrites too. Thank you for your amazing debates, work on your research, creative writing projects, reading logs and your efforts each day.  I appreciate you! :)

For Wednesday, December 12th

Grade 7LA: The Great Debate is upon us! Wednesday, our students will participate in their first grade seven debates.  We have used the gradual release model to prepare, we even wrote both sides of an argument together and we have had practice debates too. I am confident that you will share the findings of your research and do your very best.  Keep in mind that I will be using a copy of the rubric that I gave you. If you have any questions, please let me know. :)
Grade 7 French: Wrapping up the "Mon Portfolio" presentations. Tomorrow is the final day to share.  
Grade 8 French: Entrepreneur en Herbe unit continued.  Be sure to keep all of your handouts organized in your binders. There will be a quiz on Day 3,  on the common vocabulary that we have covered.  

For Monday, December 10th

Just a reminder for Language Arts students in 7ELA to finish your Reading Log question. You had a huge list of questions to choose from and you only have to respond to the one that spoke to you so make it count. :) 4-5 sentences on average to justify your opinion.  Please read for a minimum of 20 minutes. I look forward to learning more about what you are reading on Monday. Thank you!
 

Language Arts update up to December 12th!

We have negotiated a date together and December 12th is the big day for out debates! :)  Please remember to use "quotation" marks for exact quotes and give credit to the articles, magazines and website information you have used.  
Also, December 3rd was the deadline for our writing assignment. ( User Friendly, Robot Story or Time Travel choice).  * Remember the writing traits that we worked on together in class to help you.  See me if you have any questions.
Read every night for a minimum of 20 minutes please.
