Grade Seven LA: Finishing up the Tech Effects unit. Worked on the elements of a narrative. Will complete the review in the new year.
Grade 8 French: Writing in the past and future tense.
Grade 7 French: Reviewing vocabulary, our test will be in January.

Grade 7FLA completed Purpose and Audience assignment. Presentations begin today. Thank you for your efforts.
Grade 7 French: We continued to review our new vocabulary and verb tenses. We also are looking at some of the online FREE French tutorials and games to make learning more fun.
Grade 8French: Working on the past and future tenses as we reflect on 2010 and prepare for 2011! :O)

Here is the recipe students asked me to share with you. Very easy and delicious. :O)
I found this on a free recipe site.
Orea Cheesecake Bites
Ingredients:
1 package of chocolate chips. ( melt slowly on low heat, stir often)
1 small package of cream cheese ( 8oz) drop this in the melted chocolate chips. * I would allow this to chill in the fridge to make it easier to work with. You can drop this from the spoon or roll into little balls.
1 bag of Oreo cookies. ( crushed) roll mixture covering it with the cookie crumbs. :O)
Chill or even put in the freezer. They will be messy if they are still warm when you try to cover them with cookie crumbs. ;o)
Makes 25 Oreo bites.

Grade Seven Language Arts: Read Confessions of a Gamer. Completed reading response questions and examined how to deliver the perfect presentation! Reading with fluency remains an important goal at this level. Every child should read for a minimum of 30 minutes each night. This could be a newspaper, magazine, novel, online articles, or even their notes from the day before. A word wall is also a great way to expand vocabulary or to play www.freerice.com. * Be sure to choose a level that provides you with a challenge too. :O)
Grade 7 French: Just finished up the theme Zone Sportive! Thank you for your efforts in class and during presentations. Now we are reviewing key vocabulary used in daily conversation as well as some festive activities too. :)
Grade 8 French: Consommaction/consumer theme nearly finished just in time for the new year. Two groups left to share results with the class. Thank you for your professionalism and attention to detail. Vos projets sont excellent!!!! Merci! Madame Thain
