Last week of November Update

All students should be reading at home for at least 2 hours total per week. Please be sure to bring your reading log to class each day.
Reading ladders are due this week! Looking forward to celebrating your accomplishments thus far and setting new goals together for term two.
Grade eight students will be completing Informational Essays, handouts provided and computer lab time as well.
Grade seven students will be working on the persuasive writing component this week. Her is your chance to write about a topic that you truly are passionate about. Several topics provided in class for students looking for ideas.

Up to November 12th

Grade 8 LA: If you have not submitted your Book VS Test Questions, please do so. Also, reading for at least 2 hours each week at home. Please update your reading log and show your family your progress thus far.
Grade 7LA: Tech Effects unit: Would you be in favour of robots in our schools?  Think about it and discuss this with your family.  :) * Did you pass in your User Friendly questions that we completed based on the story we read together?

November 3rd

8E and 8FLA: finished test for The Outsiders. Please read your books for 2 hours each week outside of school time. Have you updated your reading log yet? Please be sure to record all books read and add new books to your future reading list.
7ELA and 7FLA:  Read your novels for 20 minutes also, be prepared for the conclusion of User-Friendly! :) What an exciting story we will be discussing tomorrow. Would you want a computer just like Louis? Should Kevin disconnect this interesting creation?
