We have almost finished sharing our Free Write selections. I was very pleased by the constructive criticism that students offered their peers. The kind words shared were appreciated and the questions asked were most helpful for students in need of revision.
Well done Grade 7.
Tonight, please be sure to read any subject ( newspaper, text book, novel, magazine etc) for a minimum of 20 minutes. Tomorrow, we will complete our exciting preposition sentences and posters. I cannot wait to reveal our grand prize winners!

I was truly impressed by the quality of the answers given within the reading response to "User Friendly" by T. Ernesto Bethancourt. I would encourage parents to talk with your child about the technology that you believe has had the biggest impact on society. The Tech Effects unit covers: literal, inferential and evaluative questions
how to organize ideas in writing
narrative text patterns
how to deliver oral presentations
word study skills such as using prepositions, comma usage,
adjectives, nouns, as well
as expanding our vocabulary.
These outcomes are covered within class, however, I would ask that students ready the novel or literary piece of their choice at home for at least 20 minutes each day to build fluency and vocabulary. Thank you! Mrs. Thain :)

LA work for January 7th.
This week we began a new theme entitled, "Tech Effects". Each student had to complete one of four questions, then they had to share with the class. The majority finished this today and presentations will be completed by tomorrow. I have truly appreciated the quality of the work submitted thus far.
Grade 7 French
"Je suis unique" activity. Finished rough copy in class on Monday, January 4th. We will begin our good copies on Tuesday. Please bring all supplies you require to class. Merci!
