Up to October 21st

Grade 7 LA book talks have been so impressive thus far! Thank you for taking your work seriously; while finding ways to add personality to your projects! I truly appreciate your devotion to your studies and your enthusiasm in class! * Please read at home for 2 hours each week. Twenty minutes one night, fifteen the next...it all adds up to help you build stamina as a reader.
Grade 8: Your personal narrative pieces are due this week too. Have you tried the "Three Before Me" technique to assist you with revising and editing?
Thanks and have a great day!

Up to October 9th

Grade 7 LA students may choose the date that they will be sharing their book talk presentations. Please refer to the checklist that I gave you. Sign up sheet is posted on my bulletin board. Please see me if you have any questions at all.
Grade 8 LA Scripts for our read aloud will be presented on:
8E begins on the 8th and 8F begins on the 15th.  Class time has been given to complete this assignment. Please see me if you have any questions.
*Important: Each student is expected to read for a total of 2 hours per week. This can be broken up into small chunks of 20 minutes, or it may var as busy weeks unfold.  Reading logs will be updated each day in class to monitor progress. Our goal to to improve fluency and build stamina as readers. I am doing this with students as well, so they can also track my progress. :)
Thank you and have a great day!
