Wednesday, October 27th

Language Arts: Today we worked on Relative pronouns, nouns and adjective clauses. May not sound that fun....;o) however with some imagination, students created examples that were much more exciting than those sentences within our text books.
Tomorrow we will review to see if anyone needs more support. November 1st, "Comics" are due.
Please read every day for at least 20 minutes any novel, magazine, graphic novel, newspaper etc.
Grade 8 French test Friday
Grade 7 French Creating your six descriptive sentences in French and one in the imperative form too.

LA Debates were amazing!!!! Well done grade seven. Free Writes complete, now your comics are due by Monday, November 1st. Keep in mind: a) the purpose of your comic ( message? to entertain? lesson to be learned?) b) Your target audience? age group? grade?

Just a reminder that Language Arts stories are due tomorrow. We have been examining the 6 Writing Traits and our main objective within this report is to pay special attention to conventions. ( spelling, punctuation etc)
We also witnessed some excellent debates today, I could not be more proud of our enthusiastic and hard working class! :O)
Grade 8 French presentations finish tomorrow, we reviewed possessive adjectives and translated materials.
Grade 7 French test is on Friday, our theme is "Attention Magasineur" Attention Shoppers.
Projects to be completed by Thursday, J'aime et Je n'aime pas..... ( 5 exemple pour chaque groupe)

Language Arts: Research for our debate topics in large computer lab. One more period to go to help you gain access to information to support your cause.
Grade 8 French project due on October 18th! Two more class available in the lab to help you complete your good copy.
Grade 7 French groups: Great work on "Attention Magasineurs" today! We listend to French dialogue, completed sentences in our work books and even learned some helpful phrase when shopping, but all "en français!" :O) I was very proud of your effort and enthusiam.

Language Arts: Continuing with the "Step Up" Literacy 7 Unit. Reading and writing about individuals that have truly made a difference in their homes, schools, communities and beyond. Keep reading a minimum of 20 minutes each night please.
Also, debating teams are being formed. I cannot wait to witness your presentations!

Language Arts: Step Up Posters with positive messages due tomorrow. Main message summary due tomorrow if you did not complete it in class today. Please tell your parents about the 11 year old boy making a difference one person at a time!~ :O)
Free Write Number Two was also worked on today.
Grade 7 French: Pages 10-11 need to be completed if you did not already due so. Use the Lexique at the back of your workbook or you may use one of my dictionaries too.
